We Welcome Life Opportunities Trust

Community Integrated Care is proud to announce its merger with specialist learning disability charity, Life Opportunities Trust.

Merger with Life Opportunities TrustBased in the South of England, the merger is part of Community Integrated Care’s ambitious plans to expand the charity’s reach even further, operating in new geographical areas and supporting many more people.

Life Opportunities Trust has a significant presence throughout London and Hertfordshire, supporting over 100 people and employing 160 colleagues.

The partnership is a natural fit for both organisations. Life Opportunities Trust was founded in 1989, with both charities sharing a similar heritage and beginnings. The vision and values of both organisations also align, with them having a passion for transforming lives by delivering high-quality support and encouraging independence and empowerment.

Karen Sheridan, Community Integrated Care’s Chief Operating Officer says, “We believe Independent Living is an area where we can really thrive, and this partnership gives us the opportunity to strengthen these foundations. It’s also an important step for our charity geographically, bridging the gap between our Central and South regions – this will be the first time we’ve delivered Independent Living support in London and Hertfordshire.”

She continued, “For Life Opportunities Trust this merger will allow them to benefit from our significant size, scale and experience. As a thought leader in our sector, they’re looking forward to learning from our expertise to truly deliver the best lives possible for the people they support.”

“On behalf of all of us, I’d like to wish everyone from Life Opportunities Trust a warm welcome to the Community Integrated Care family!”
